FOCUSING ON SYMMETRY
Drawing butterflies is a wonderful way to talk about symmetry with children. Because we use images that are small, the children will need to look closely to observe the patterns. Youâre welcome to offer a magnifying glass to do this. Start with colored pencil and add watercolor to make vibrant little drawings that are then collaged into a box or tin. Give the children small pieces of paper for this project so that they know to draw small.
